House Near the Town of Melnik

ARCHITECTURAL CONCEPT:

The house is nestled in nature, near the town of Melnik. The surrounding landscape features green hills and vineyards, reminiscent of Tuscany.

The architectural concept is based on two distinct volumes. The lower volume is a massive cube clad in carved stone, while the upper volume is lighter and more transparent, finished with vertical wooden slats. This upper section is rotated 30 degrees relative to the base to achieve better orientation and enhanced views. It projects forward in a cantilevered form and is supported by an X-shaped column.

Another interesting feature is the curved roof that transitions into a wall, forming a sweeping surface that separates the noisy, dusty street from the residential area.

The lower part of the house includes a spa zone and an indoor pool, which connects to an outdoor pool. On the upper level, there is a garage for three cars, accessible directly from the terrain due to the slope of the plot. The upper volume houses the residential area, consisting of a kitchen, dining room, and living room, five bedrooms, and large terraces designed to shield the interior from the western sun.
