HOTEL COMPLEX IN BANSKO

A project by the architects from Art New Vision for the interior design and implementation of a hotel complex in Bansko

ARCHITECTURE:

The presented interior designs are part of the reception block of the new hotel complex in the town of Bansko. This will be a four- and five-star hotel complex consisting of twelve sections—eleven with apartments and one section for the main hotel building. The main building will house a reception area, a two-level lobby bar, a restaurant, a spa center with two pools—an outdoor thermal pool and an indoor pool—as well as hotel rooms across the floors.

CONSTRUCTION SOLUTIONS:

The reception area is designed as a blend of alpine style—with abundant wood, stone, and ceiling beams—and modern aesthetics featuring perforated metal elements, polished surfaces, and striking lighting fixtures. Upon entering the foyer, guests are greeted by a powerful composition reminiscent of a sculpture made of curved wooden elements, symmetrically placed on both sides of a massive metal-clad fireplace. These elements span across both levels of the reception block, becoming a focal point that impresses from the very entrance. The effect is further enhanced by lighting fixtures that pass through the upper-level gallery.

These curved elements are echoed in the reception and lobby bar, but in a more subdued manner. The ceiling pattern is mirrored in the flooring, creating a sense of visual continuity.

The lobby bar is a separate zone. The main motif continues there, but the column cladding evolves into the shape of an open flower. These spaces highlight the warm tone of the wood, paired with dark graphite stone cladding, accented by light-colored stripes for contrast. Wooden beams combined with perforated sheet metal run across the ceiling. The flooring features several shades of porcelain stoneware, and carpets under the soft seating areas add a cozy touch. Lighting fixtures composed of circular rings are positioned above the central element, the reception, and the lobby bar.

The restaurant retains the concept, with ceiling panels formed between columns using wooden beams, sheet metal, and ventilation grilles at their centers. The floor becomes monochromatic, with emphasis only on the walkway made of black polished porcelain stoneware, while individual table groups are framed by decorative tiles with geometric patterns.

The bar transitions into the fireplace through arched wooden wall elements borrowed from the reception design. The restaurant can be partitioned into two separate halls using mobile sliding panels. It also features a self-service area—the buffet table—next to a designated show-cooking zone.
